Songtide is a free Mac app made by DCODED (dcoded.dev). These terms cover the app and this website. By downloading or using Songtide you agree to them.

What you can do

You may download Songtide from this site and use it on any Mac you own or control, for personal or work use, free of charge.

Songtide is open source. Its code is on GitHub under the GNU General Public License, version 3, which sets out how you may copy, change and share it. The Songtide name and icon are not covered by that license; a changed version you distribute should use its own.

YouTube Music and your Google account

Songtide shows the YouTube Music website, which is provided by Google, and adds Mac features around it. It is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google or YouTube. You sign in with your own Google account, and your use of YouTube Music stays subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. What you can play depends on your YouTube Music account; Songtide does not unlock paid features, remove ads or download music.

Because Songtide depends on a website we don't control, a change on YouTube's side can break parts of the app without notice.

Other services

Lyrics come from LRCLIB. Last.fm and Discord are optional and only used if you turn them on; their own terms apply when you do.

Updates

Songtide checks this site for new versions and installs them unless you turn automatic updates off in Settings › General. Features can be added, changed or removed in an update.

No warranty

Songtide is provided free and "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will always work, be free of errors, or stay available.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, DCODED is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, Songtide or this website.

Privacy

What the app and this site do with data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. Using Songtide after that means you accept it.
